As long as a fiber or copper connection can be established between them, far-apart units will be connected via Lumino ® MAN-Nodes.
In particular, display and announcement units, DyFIS components, devices for the locating of vehicle positions and external systems like schedule administration systems communicate this way.
The MAN-Nodes are usually connected with mono-mode or multi-mode fiber optics to create a backbone net. The network is constructed in a failsafe double ring structure, which can be extended at will.
The MAN-Node has a modular structure and can be configured flexibly to supply each terminal with the necessary interfaces.
