Field Bus
A up to one kilometer wide field bus network is used for direct information transfer between the ITCS and the displays. Normally, twisted-pair wiring is used either with an RS-485 bus (linear, tree or star) or as a point-to-point connection (RS-422 or current loop). Also, Ethernet can be used as a field bus.
Station Computers
The Station computer "StR" combines the ITCS feed of a display group accessed locally via field bus or a complex network in a single interface.
Gateway
The "DFI Gateway" combines the ITCS feed of a display group accessed locally via field bus or a complex network in a single interface and calculates the display content using the departure-times given by the ITCS.
