Via TCP/IP network, several DyFIS®Terminals can be connected to a DyFIS® Server. Each terminal displays the current vehicle positions and the contents of the displays administrated by the DyFIS® Server in realistic graphics on several monitors.
Normally, a rail traffic company will want a classic display of the route in form of a schematic track diagram. If the sensors can provide the DyFIS® Server with the GPRS coordinates of the vehicles, the terminal can also show a true-to-scale map diagram, which can be displayed in different zoom levels. Especially when working with buses, the map diagram is a welcome addition.
In all of these presentations, it is possible to choose an area to be displayed, or a specific vehicle can be tracked.
The widest overview is offered by the "pearl cord", which shows only the stops of all routes and the vehicles currently en route.
Depending on the zoom level, all those schematics do not only show the vehicles (with identifiers and delay status), but also the individual stops and display units and their status. A click on any of the objects activates intuitive monitoring and control functions.
The operating status of all system components is monitored with the help of data windows. Authorized users can activate special texts, schedule and system configurations and speaker announcements.
The user interface is set up according to the project requirements and the demands of the traffic company. The DyFIS® Terminal can can be equipped with several special options e.g. display of true-to-scale maps or voice transmission via TCP/IP.
