The computer systems of complex DyFIS installations communicate via TCP/IP-protocol. If certain components can't be reached by the private wired network, internet-based networks like GPRS or UMTS can be used for data transfer. TCP/IP-based private digital cellular radio networks are also applicable.

The DyFIS-components use encrypted communication telegrams, which are secured against disturbances, bugging and deliberate changes.

The DyFIS Data transfer via radio links is optimized by intelligent controllers in a way that keeps the amount of data small to reduce external costs while at the same time being able to maintain the operation using predicted departure times even if the radio link breaks down.
